Coffin nails have been used in witchcraft for centuries, often used to literally 'nail down' a spell. There's evidence of them being used in witch bottles as far back as the 16th century.

Our coffin nails are unused, sourced from an undertakers who uncovered them from storage, claiming them to be from the 1800's and given the style of them they're certainly handmade. We've given all of our coffin nails a good coat of clear gloss to protect them and keep that authentic rust from rubbing off on your clothing.

The nail is approx. 3.5cm long and wrapped with simple silver coated copper wire. On a sterling silver chain this necklace is simple but so full of meaning.

Our Jewelry is all handmade and as such there will be some minor variations between pieces, especially those featuring natural stone or antique items.
